Step 1: Prep is Key

While it can be easy to reach for your tan straight away, the key to a flawless finish is all about that base. To ensure your skin is in prime condition for tanning, exfoliate using a gentle scrub (such as our Triple Action Glycolic Body Scrub) and mitt thoroughly, 24-hours prior to tanning. Exfoliation removes dead skin cells from the skin’s outermost layer to help ensure even coverage on application. After exfoliating, moisturise your skin.

Step 2: Apply your tan

If you can, shower 30-minutes before application. This will enable your skin to return to its natural PH balance and allow time for your pores to close. Do not apply body lotion or deodorant before tanning. Make sure your underarms are deodorant free and avoid using any oil based products, as they can leave traces on the skin that can cause streaking.For a long-lasting glow, our Rapid Self-Tanning Tinted Mousse is a winner, for good reason. Simply leave on for 2-hours for a light tan, wash off after 3-hours for a medium glow or for the darkest results, leave on for 6 or more hours.
