Galentine's Day is the way to show your girlfriends how much they mean - here are our tips on a pamper night that's girls only.
Galentine's Day is traditionally celebrated on 13th February, but we think you should celebrate any date you wish!Forget romance, it’s important to celebrate your relationship with the friends who’ve been there for you! So show them some love and affection with a girls’ night in. Here are our suggestions for a lovely night.
Set The Mood - Crack out the fairy lights from Christmas for a fun atmosphere or choose tealights and scented candles to welcome your guests. Want music? Head to our YouTube channel and choose our ‘Relaxing Spa Playlist’ or ‘Valentine’s Night In’, depending on the mood of the event! And of course you'll want to greet friends with a drink, but a for a nice twist go for a bowl of Pimms or iced tea.
Anyone For Treatment? When girls get together, we pamper! Of course, masks are a must, but for tea-infused relaxation, prep skin first with a natural facial steam. All you need are hot water and a herbal teabag - chamomile, mint or lemon balm are all great choices. Give everyone a bowl, a towel and their choice of herbs and steam the skin for 5 to 10 minutes.
Bubbly, Netflix and Treats - Open a bottle, put out the nibbles and settle down for some quality girls-only time.
Food - If you don't want to go the film-night route, then food and games are always fun! There's plenty of inspo on Pinterest for games and fabulous foodie treats. We like the idea of having a pancake night - you can make them in advance or let your guests take turns, and it's easy to make traditional or vegan versions. All you need is a selection of toppings for everyone to help themselves (our fave is sugar and lemon juice, you can't beat the classics!)
Thank You Gifts - A little ‘thank you’ gift to take home is lovely - how about fragrance, nail colour or bath treats? If it's really last minute, make some cards like these fun ones we found on Pinterest to tell your pals just how awesome they are!
