It's party season and nothing says glitz and glam like a touch of metallic! We show you how to be a bronzed beauty this Christmas.

Adding shimmer to your usual look is 100% ok as soon as you hit November. Whether you go for sparkly gold or a more subtle bronze, a full on look or a subtle glow, everyone can be a bronzed beauty!

Bronzer

In our opinion, bronzer is a year-round product.  It's great for low-key contouring (use a little under your jawline to define) but it's also fantastic for that healthy, autumnal glow on your cheeks. Here's how to use it:

1. Over your usual blush or on its own in place of blusher 2. Try 'sun stripping' - run bronzer from one cheekbone to the other, across the nose, with a little on each temple. Think winter sun / ski trip! This super-fast video shows you how.

Foundation Glow

For glowing, healthy skin, we love to mix a little bronzing tint with our regular foundation and apply both together. This gives your base an instant dewy glow - a real pick me up! It's perfect for any age, but especially great on older skin, it's just so flattering!

Fake Tan

It's quite likely you'll be heading out to an event this year (or if not, you'll want to hit the shops looking bronzed and gorgeous!) A fake tan is the obvious way to go, but keep it subtle for a daily look. A gradual tan is a great idea.

Bronze and metallic eye makeup comes into its own as soon as the clocks go back. Sweep metallic eyeshadow over a primer or dark base. Or, for an extra sparkle, sweep over the cheeks in place of highlighter (gold works especially well here as it warms the skin).
